if you have a backflow, you must have it tested annually by a certified backflow assembly tester!
MN Statute 4714.0603 – Section 603.2:
“Devices or assemblies installed in a potable water supply system for protection against backflow shall be maintained in good working condition by the person or persons having control of such devices or assemblies. The devices or assemblies shall be tested at the time of installation, repair, or relocation and not less than on an annual schedule thereafter, or more often where required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.”

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- Testing of backflow by an ASSE certified backflow tester.
- Backflow tagged with testing date, tester signature, and backflow certification number.
- WIS will submit test results to the administrative authority and/or to the community public water supplier for your city within 30 days of testing.
- WIS will keep records of backflow testing completed.
- Once you have completed your first backflow test with WIS, we will send out a yearly reminder via email that your annual backflow test is due.
